This qualification gives people who are already working, or wanting to work, in the construction industry, the essential knowledge to manage health and safety.
Level 1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) The qualification links to achievement of the CSCS Green Card for Labourers in Construction. This is first being introduced as a pilot and then will be made a mandatory requirement from summer 2014 for all new labourers wishing to achieve the CSCS Green Card.
Components required to achieve the Green Labourers Card are the CITB Health and Safety onscreen test, an Employer declaration of competence and this Level 1 Award (a mandatory requirement from summer 2014). For more information, visit the CSCS website.
